Located in Spain? Let the Sun Pay Your Bills!
In Spain, you are given an abundant source of free and unlimited electricity- the energy from sunlight (aka photovoltaic or PV energy). Our mission is to transform it into clean, low-cost electricity for residential and commercial use.
To start, we have provided you with a solar calculator to find the approximate size of your solar installation by entering your average monthly electricity consumption (written on your electricity bill) and your intended saving percentages. This calculator is optimized for Spain. To get a tailored calculation, please fill in this form.

Residential solutions
Considering the numerous sunny days in Spain, you can easily cover more than 50% of your electricity consumption with solar energy. Solar panels can be installed on the roof of your house, garage or parking area (solar carport). By adding batteries to your solar energy system, you can even cover more than 70% of your consumption with solar energy.
We will assist you to make the right decision step by step:
- Evaluation: as the first step, we consult you about the feasibility of a solar installation. We analyze your annual energy consumption to check if a solar installation is suitable for you or not. All we need is your latest electricity bills (or the expected future consumption if you do not have electricity bills yet) and the geographical information of the installation site (for example, your house address).
- Decision: having on hand the results of the analysis (including the financial and environmental benefits), you can decide to proceed further with the solar installation or not. With your approval, we continue to the next step.
- Financing: you can finance the solar system yourself or through a bank. If you choose the bank financing, we prepare the required documents (technical information and financial analysis) to facilitate the loan application process.
- Realization: then, we design, engineer, and realize your solar installation. For our solar energy projects, we use equipment manufactured in the EU.
- Legalization: finally, we register your solar installation with your electricity provider (such as Endesa, Iberdrola or other) since it is a mandatory step for grid-connected solar installations in Spain. After the registration, if you have surplus (unused) solar electricity during the day, you can feed it into the grid. Then, your electricity provider compensates you monthly for the fed-in electricity (the compensation is calculated by the electricity market price). Therefore, your grid-electricity consumption bill (energia consumida) will be reduced and can even fall to zero.
- Generation: now you can enjoy free electricity for more than 25 years and reduce your environmental footprint.

Commercial solutions
Considering numerous sunny days and high solar irradiance (sunshine power per square meter) in Spain, running your winery, school, office complex, or factory with solar power is highly profitable. You can use electricity from the installed solar panels at your site with a price of ca. 0.05€/kWh in peak time when the electricity price is up to 0.14€/kWh. Yes, you read correctly: solar electricity is up to three times cheaper than grid electricity. Besides, using solar energy promotes you as a green and environmentally friendly business. Depending on your consumption pattern and amount, we have different solutions to empower your business with solar energy. Contact us to get a free consultation.
We will assist you to make the right decision step by step:
- Feasibility Study: our journey together starts with a feasibility study of the solar installation for your business. We analyze your annual energy consumption and the consumption pattern (how you use electricity during the different hours, days, and months), to check if a solar installation is feasible for you or not. All we need is your latest electricity bills, the geographical information of the installation site (for example your factory address), and information about your consumption patterns (e.g. at what time you run the machines or servers).
- You Decide: having on hand the analysis results of the solar installation for your business (including the financial and environmental benefits), you can whether decide to proceed further with solar installation or not. With your approval, we continue to the next step.
- Financing: we advise you and help you to choose one of the following 4 financing options for your project. 1) self-financing. 2) financing through a bank. In the case of bank financing, we prepare the required documents (technical information and financial analysis) to facilitate the loan application process. 3) if your business matches our criteria, we give you a solar installation with zero investment and zero-risk, through a power purchase agreement (PPA, more info). 4) if you want to finance your project with a non-financial institute, we provide crowdfunding option (more info).
- Realization: after financing your project, we design, engineer, and realize your solar power system installation. For our solar projects, we use equipment manufactured in the EU.
- Legalization: finally, we register your solar installation with your electricity provider (such as Endesa, Iberdrola, etc.) as it is mandatory for grid-connected solar installations in Spain. After the registration, if you have surplus (unused) solar electricity during the day, you can feed it into the grid. Your electricity provider compensates for the fed-in electricity your next electricity bill (calculated by the electricity market price). Therefore, your electricity consumption bill (energia consumida) will be reduced or even fall to zero.
- Generation: now you can enjoy free electricity for more than 25 years and reduce your environmental foorprint.

Financing Options
Crowdfunding
For commercial customers with an annual consumption of more than 100MWh, we provide financing through crowdfunding. In this option, our investors finance your project within just a few weeks with a low interest rate. Crowdfunding is beyond raising money, it connects your business with hundreds of prospective customers, gets you free media coverage, and serves as a marketing tool. For example, if you have a winery, your solar installation investors will most probably order wine from you and also recommend you to their friends, as the success of your business will also secure their investment.
Power Purchase Agreement (PPA)
You can switch to solar energy with 0% investment and zero-risk. That is true! We offer your clean electricity up to 25% cheaper than the grid electricity price for 15+ years through the so-called power-purchase agreement (PPA). This option is only available for commercial and industrial customers with an annual consumption of more than 500MWh. At the end of PPA, we give you the solar installation for free. Therefore, you have free electricity for the next 10+ years (solar installation lifetime is 25+ years). You will find more information on our PPA page. To check if you meet our PPA criteria, contact us.
Bank Loan
This option is available for both residential and commercial customers. They are many banks, such as Santander or Cajamar, that provide loans with stimulating rates for renewable energy projects. You can contact directly your bank or us for further information.
Frequently Asked Questions
Do I have to pay ”solar tax” (impuesto al sol) if I produce solar energy in Spain?
No, not anymore. The notorious sun tax was removed in 2018 by the government through Royal Decree-Law 15/2018. To promote the solar energy, a series of reforms were added, such as:
– compensation for surplus energy fed into the grid
– property tax (IBI) discounts for buildings with solar installations
– possibility of connecting several people to the same installation, also known as community solar
– for off-grid and small grid-connected solar installations, a permit from the electricity company is not required.
Do I receive anything for the surplus solar electricity I feed into the grid?
Yes, you receive a compensation. The energy that you feed into the electricity grid will be discounted from the energy you consume from the grid, resulting in significantly lower electricity costs. If you inject in grid more than you consume, your electricity bill (energia consumida) will be zero, but you won’t get paid extra. Therefore, we always calculate the right system size for you to get the most of it.
Do solar panels need a lot of maintenance?
No, all you are recommended to do is simply clean the panels with water when they get very dusty or covered with pollen. Cleaning four times per year prolongs their 25+ year lifetime and increases daily energy yields.
However, we recommend a yearly maintenance and support contract. With this contract, we check your system each year three times to avoid any possibility of production reduction.
